The DECADE project develops and demonstrates the CEASIOMpyLight integrated chain of software tools with short learning curve for conceptual aircraft aerodynamic design. It targets, in particular, the generation of aero-data for the intended flight envelope. The tools are suitable for educational use as well as for industrial projects, to further the NFFP stated goal “holistic skills and concept studies” (our translation). The system will be adapted to and first used in courses on compressible aerodynamic design at KTH with Peter Eliasson, adj. prof. KTH and Saab employee, as course instructor.
