The company is developing computational solutions for aerodynamic aircraft design. The goal is to design a lighter, greener, and quieter airplane by reducing drag especially in high speed. One of the tools is Aerodynamic shape optimization which requires a large number of CFD solutions, so computational power is a limiting factor. Current ideas for surrogate modelling are being developed to improve computational efficiency.
Airinnova can provide reliable engineering solutions on the following subjects:
- generation of physics-based computational grids from wire-frame/non-meshable models
- computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- subsonic and transonic wing shape optimization
Airinnova has access to very substantial computing resources through the KTH PDC Center for High Performance Computing.
